Magic Marie - abrakidabra.co.uk
As a child, I grew up in a 'magical' family and had an interest in all types of magic and entertainment from an early age. I gave my earliest public magic performance at about 17 years old.
In my younger days, I worked as a professional children's entertainer at numerous venues throughout the country.
I performed with Red Coat Entertainers at Butlins Holiday Camps. In addition to performing magic and illusions on stage, I also sang and took part in other stage productions such as pantomime and comedy children's entertainment and performances. When I started on the 9-5 routine at 18, I continued with my performing in a local amateur dramatics society.
On becoming a mum, I was unable to continue with stage performances. However, I continued to work with children as a volunteer Chair-person then Play Assistant and finally a Play Leader in local Playgroups.
During this time, I had experience of working with children with special needs and was a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO).
I have performed shows for entire audiences of children with special needs. Please feel free to openly and confidentially discuss any special needs your child may have and I will tailor the party to ensure your child has the most enjoyment possible from my unique party experience.
I continued in my professional development by obtaining the following qualifications:-
NVQ 3 Customer Service;
NVQ 3 Childcare and Education;
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and have full Public Liability Insurance;
Level 3 (Higher Distinction) CPD Award in Animal Care;
Level 3 (Higher Distinction) CPD Award in Pet First Aid & CPR.
Years of childcare experience as a Mum and dedicated childcare volunteer and professional (sorry - no certificate).
Licenced to perform with animals by Stroud District Council Animal Welfare Officers under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018
